Once done, each canvas gets together to "reveal design" created by the group. 

Round 1: The "Happy Place" Background

• Objective: Establish the canvas foundation using primary colors.

• Action: Each team member starts with a blank canvas and paints a background representing their favorite vacation spot or "happy place."

• The Rule: You can only use primary colors and must base them on your theme.

  • Examples: Yellow for sunshine or a beach; Blue for a clear lake or ocean; Red for a sunset or vibrant cityscape.

Round 2: Geometric Vacation Preferences

• Objective: Layer the landscape with simple shapes to signify vacation activities.

• Action: Participants add basic shapes to the background to build their ideal getaway.

• The Rule: No detailed drawing is allowed—only use circles, triangles, and rectangles.

  • Examples: A large circle and yellow triangles for a bright sun; brown triangles for the Adirondacks; a long rectangle and triangle for a car or boat.

Round 3: The "Pass-the-Canvas" Portrait

• Objective: Test adaptability and add a touch of humor by drawing your neighbor.

• Action: Everyone takes a short break, stands up, and rotates one space to the right, sitting in front of their neighbor's canvas.

• The Rule: On the new canvas, draw a stick figure portrait of the person sitting to your right, enjoying the geometric vacation they created in Round 2.

Round 4: The Collaborative Unveiling

• Objective: Complete the collaborative masterpiece and celebrate the team.

• Action: Participants return to their original canvases to see the final collaborative painting, composed of their happy-place backgrounds, vacation shapes, and stick-figure portraits drawn by a teammate.

• The Rule: Have each person spend 2-3 minutes using the remaining paint to tie everything together. You can add borders, blend intersecting lines, or add unifying details. Finally, go around the room and have everyone explain their evolving "vacation story."
